With this fresh February month, there is also a new moon, a great signifier for new beginnings! Now is the time to start boosting your immune system, increasing your vitamin intake, and leading a healthier lifestyle. We’ve put together our top tips to help you on your way, so keep reading to find out how you can reach your health goals this month.

  1. Start Taking Supplements
    Supplements are one of the quickest and easiest ways to load your body with the necessary vitamins,
    nutrients, and proteins that will boost your immune system, increase energy and give you that healthy
    glow you’ve always wanted. Add essentials like Vitamins D and C, but also stock up on lesser know
    supplements such as Quercetin and Garlic, which are full of antioxidants. These can act as anti-
    inflammatories and have been known to assist with controlling blood sugar, supporting the immune
    system, and reducing the risk of heart disease.

2. Get Some More Sleep
Sleep is your savior! Getting your eight hours a night is one of the most beneficial things you can do
for your health. A lack of sleep is linked to higher cortisol production, meaning more stress and weight
gain, an increase in the risk of diabetes, and can zap your energy like nobody’s business! Sleep
activates repair across your whole body so if you want better heart health, improved skin and sharper
brain function make sure you get your Zzz’s. If you struggle to fall asleep, try keeping all of your
devices away from your bedroom and use your bed for sleeping only (as opposed to relaxing and
watching TV). Make sure your room is dark and not too hot and try meditation to clear your mind of
any anxieties or worries. You’ll be snoring in no time!

    Keeping hydrated is vital for any living thing on earth and humans are no exception! Make sure you
    get at least eight glasses a day to keep your body nice and hydrated. It will keep your body
    temperature regulated and help your nutrients make their way to your cells. If you forget to drink then
    invest in a digital water bottle that you can sync to an app on your phone. It will give you reminders to
    get sipping. Don’t like water? No excuses! Find a delicious squash flavor that you can mix in to give
    yourself a fruity life. And whilst flavored, organic teas will add to your hydration score, coffee doesn’t
    so put your cup of joe down.
  1. Nourish Your Body

You are what you eat so pack your diet with leafy greens and nutrients. Shun trendy superfoods that can cost a fortune by eating a simple diet with a focus on veggies, whole grains, healthy fats, and legumes. Keep your red meat intake to a minimum as it can increase your risk of cancers and try and avoid too much sugar and processed foods. Natural whole foods are your new best friend!
