I bought an air purifier – and it literally improved my family’s life for good. I have been staying in Delhi for more than a decade, and a lot has changed in between. When I first moved to Delhi 12 years ago after getting married, it was not as polluted as it is now. I remember taking a walk in the wee hours of the day, and the clean air that filled my lungs made me feel fresh and alive. However, one can only dream of doing that now. Not just Delhi, but the entire country’s air quality has been deteriorating exponentially. I travel around the country for work frequently and have experienced this first hand.
What worries me is that the indoor pollution is turning out to be far worse than outdoor pollution because of some reasons. I live in an apartment, and narrow bylanes of South Delhi only makes it worse. I tried everything, from turning on the A/C to keeping the windows closed to protect the health of my family, only to no respite. It was not just the dust, but soot, pollution and fly ash. Winters were starting to feel like a nightmare, especially since the last couple of years.
Looking back before I got an air purifier, my only regret is not buying one soon enough. It was only when a cough got worse, and I could see my child getting affected I decided to buy an air purifier. It has truly been a life-changing experience ever since. You turn it on and let it do its work – that is all. It clears the pollutants like anything and result is almost immediate.
When I was buying an air purifier, I had many options, from Philips to Honeywell and what not. However, I decided to go with KENT Alps – only because of my wonderful experience with the brand. I am using their RO Systems, and a couple of smart chef appliances regularly. You could say – I trusted them with my life. Being a reputable healthcare brand, their products have never failed on me. I have been using their RO ever since it became a fad to use one, and because I cared about my family’s health.
Here’s why I trusted KENT Alps Air Purifier for My Family’s Health
- Reputable Brand
I can’t stress this enough, but my experience with KENT has been phenomenal. Using their RO systems and getting the filters replaced is a cakewalk. An air purifier also has parts that are to be replaced after a while, and I can’t wait for a week for some technician to visit me. Being a working mother with a tight schedule, I wanted something reliable, so I choose KENT. It has been serving me extraordinarily since then, and I have got the filters replaced with a single call.
- High CADR
CADR or Clean Air Delivery Rate is a performance indicator that signifies the amount of clean air delivered by an air purifier. To put it in short, the higher the CADR, the faster an air purifier cleans the air. KENT Alps is rated at 400 m3/hour which is substantially greater than any of its competitors. Living in one of the most polluted cities in the world, I wanted an air purifier that would do the required job and was not merely be a piece of decoration in my room. KENT Alps works perfectly in my home and has consistently delivered what I expected out of the product.
- Filtration Process
KENT Alps employ a three-stage filtration process that effectively removes all traces of pollution from my home. It uses what it calls Impact, Interception and Diffusion mechanism to trap pollutants of all kinds including dust mites, pollens, mould spores and anything more than 0.3 microns in size. It is also highly effective against pollutants such as PM 2.5 and SPM (Suspended Particulate Matter) which are found in abundance in the area where I live.
KENT Alps is the only air purifier among the ones I explored that comes with an inbuilt ionizer. An ionizer aims to release negative ions into the atmosphere which forces the pollutants to stick on the walls or other surfaces of the room. It improves the air quality and freshens up the room like anything. It also traps pollutants on its electrically charged collection plate to keep my room fresh.
- Low Noise Operation
One of my primary concern was noise. I already live in a bustling city and cannot afford the noise to sweep in my home. I have a young kid, and I don’t want the operation of product interfering with his study or sleep. KENT Alps is rated to work at as low as 54 decibels, which is an acceptable number.
There are other reasons why I chose KENT Alps, but more than that there are reasons why I wanted an air purifier. I can observe the short-term changes since I got the product. However, I am more concerned about its long-term effects, which I am sure will be positive.
